a kiss
Friday, November 18th, 2005touch me
with your lips
a kiss
a moment
a smile
out of time
to feel
love’s silence
your heart
the moonlight
like wings
embracing
my soul
touch me
with your lips
a kiss
a moment
a smile
out of time
to feel
love’s silence
your heart
the moonlight
like wings
embracing
my soul
i confess, i have loved
without concern for
outward appearances
marital status
religious beliefs
economic position
national origin,
i’m certainly no virgin.
my lovers have been
men, women, older, younger,
imaginary and real,
for i believe that
if there is a god and
if there is sin, then
in all the kingdoms
that have ever been,
apathy is the greatest sin,
and love, the great redeemer.
Life
does a good job of teaching us
to be less creative,
less believing,
less alive,
less everything.
Our culture is filled with
complicated yet boring things,
lies and bullshit,
passing remarks,
small talk,
that we have to spend (spend! spend!)
most of our time
doing things
not of our choosing
that don’t really matter,
creativity falls
by the wayside.
I once destroyed
the phone messages
of an entire day,
simply because they were
meaningless.
healer of the wounded king,
visions to my mind she’ll bring,
Maiden, Mother, and the Crone,
herbal healer of reknown,
guardian of the sacred well
in Avalon, there does she dwell
near the Cauldron of Rebirth,
wind and water, fire and earth.
Goddess, as the poets know,
mother of kingship and crow,
sing, dark bird, that one rare song,
of kith and kin in Avalon,
cloak of feathers, queen of Art,
yours my love, yours my heart.
cerulean blue
the ocean, the multiverse
solitude unrolls
in waves
love is a journey
filled with heart words
sadness sleeps
in depths
reef of naked self
a stone in the river
singing water songs
in rain
cerulean blue
the sea my soul my heart
enchanting ink
in poetry
by day, the wind blows
through surrounding woods
reminding me of the ocean.
by night, endless skies
lit by moon and stars
and the curtains of northern lights.
through time, roots of soul
whispered heart secrets
finding you i have found myself.
