Make Art

I would love to undress you.
I suspect that beneath
the buttons you are
golden light, like amber
beckoning my attention
further below…
delightful or embarrassing,
depending on
how my undressing you
affects you.
I would note every breath,
weighing every moment
like a slow waltz,
to replay in my mind
later
when I close my eyes.
fingers typing
an ocean apart
all too aware of
the distance
but my mind likes
the tease
ebbing and flowing
over the wires
unable to sleep
poems rise around us
on incense-scented air
ancient patterns of
heart words
whispering goddesses
lustful muses
the flit of crimson wings
into the space between
silk dance
spiced ritual fire
the wheel turns
one more year
