Sea Songs
They’re singing songs across the sea
calling Us homeward to the Sídhe
it’s been so long since We were free
to walk the Path so openly
Their music drives away the fear
of going There and leaving Here
look through the Veil, the way is clear
it seems so far, but is so near
They’re singing songs that make me weep
of grasses rich and forests deep
of cattle grazing and lowing sheep
by fires warm, a peaceful sleep
One who waits There patiently
across the white-capped northern sea
sings of the love He has for me
He stirs the bones of memory
I wish to run out with the tide
to join His singing, by His side
and once again to be His bride
but water’s deep and ocean’s wide
They’re singing songs across the sea
calling Us homeward to the Sídhe
stirring the bones of memory
It’s been too long since We were free.
